A wedding card

Hi - I'm back again as promised.

I recently mentioned that I had a wedding card to make, well I finished that on Sunday & will be putting a photo here in a moment.  As you know I like to keep my finger nails nice & it is the young girl who looks after them that is getting married.  She is going on a cruise to somewhere warm & then getting married - in fact, I have a recall of memory that she is actually getting married on board the cruise ship.  i will be off for my latest treatment in a moment - must remember to ask her. Right at this moment it is absolutely pouring with rain so I expect she is really pleased she is not getting married here. Here is the card including a side view - as it is an easel card;-





I just love making those easel cards.  I think I enjoy them more than the stepper cards.  Unfortunately there isn't any stamping - I know, I know - I am supposed to be a stamper.  I have a couple of wedding stamps & didn't fancy using them, so there!  The papers & image are from a Joanna Sheen CD called Victorian Romance.  I thought the cream/peach colours were a bit warmer in colour seeing as she is getting married in a warmer climate.  I believe her bridesmaids colours are quite Caribbean in colour.  Should make for fantastic pictures.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
