IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR CSNW MEMBERS

Hi ladies
This is specifically for the ladies of CSNW whose final meeting for 2010 is tonight.

Due to weather conditions & after great thought I have cancelled tonight's meeting.  I have reached everyone by telephone whether speaking to them personally or leaving a message or another member agreeing to phone another member.

I do not like doing this but I would only worry about you all not only driving there but more importantly driving home, as it is forecast that temperatures will be very low tonight.  I would much rather think of you all safe & warm at home.  I have spoken to Wendy of Card-io & she is rather relieved considering the conditions & the distance she would be coming, but she & Martin would  have come had we been meeting.  I will be in contact with her to re-book her as early as possible in the New Year.  Of course as we are all aware this weather could be repeated any time up to about March - so I will probably ask her to come around April time.  But she will visit us.

As we are not meeting tonight I will pop details of the programme for February in the post to you along with anything else that will be needed for the meeting.  Details will of course be on your page on this blog probably over the weekend.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
