Christmas present swap

Hi there everyone
The title doesn't mean I swapped one of my Christmas presents - I finally got to meet up with Sue today & we swapped presents & Christmas cards.  Although totally different - we gave each other bags - strange wasn't it!.  I think I mentioned the other day the bag I was making in the Pinflair Craft style - well that was for Sue.  In it I placed a book I thought might interest her  - it was making "Inchies" in fabric, & also a cute little Christmas cat stamp.  Sue gave me a Papermania - stitch it together yourself - felt bag & a beautiful fabric embroidered bracelet she had made. If I start soon I should be able to get the bag put together for my holiday.

My visit to the Dentist was ok - although I spent more time waiting to go in for my appointment than I did in there.

Then this evening I have attended a local meeting - so quite a busy day, but I still found time to make 2 cards.  I will put the photos on here tomorrow as I didn't take them until I needed artificial light in the room & they have come out a funny colour.  So will take them again tomorrow in natural light. One is made from toppers I had to hand & the other is embroidery on paper which I had done some time ago & found in a box.  So that is now on a card.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
