My car is back!

Hi everyone
Just a short blog today - & I do mean short.

I haven't done any crafting today as it was Bob's birthday & we were out most of the morning; then I couldn't get settled into anything as I was waiting for the Car Repair firm to come & pick up the courtesy car & give me my car back.  It has come back all nicely mended & they washed & cleaned her inside & out as well.  Very nice indeed.  Looking forward to having a run out in her tomorrow - although at the moment that will be as far as the dentist. Fortunately it's just a check-up.

Then later this afternoon we met Gareth at the Running Hare in Ewloe where he bought his Dad a birthday meal,  Well, me too.  Another very pleasant couple of hours.

I will be taking a photo of the card I made for Bob - sadly not stamped, made from a great kit I had found.  Will show you tomorrow along with anything I make.  Also I have seen an adaptation to the stepper card which I think I might do a tutorial for.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
