Yesterday's stamping session

Hi everyone - I hope you are having a pleasant weekend.

Yesterday I told you about my stamping session - so here are some of the pictures as promised;
On this tag I used Tattered Rose & Milled Lavender.  As I stated yesterday I start with the lighter colour, then go to the darker colour & often go back to the lighter colour again to complete the blending.
This tag was made with Fired Brick & Wild Honey.  I often use FB with Vintage Photo but that would have been too dark for this image.

Here is the piece of resist technique that I also did - I used Crushed Olive & Wild Honey for this;
Whilst stamping the tags I made one using the same colours as this resist piece & the two go together well of course, so that is what I will be putting together today, but not until I have made a birthday card for our grand-daughter who will be 15 on Wednesday.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
