I am home - normal rservice will be resumed tomorrow

Hi everyone

Well we arrived back home late yesterday afternoon & today has been a bit hectic sorting the usual holiday washing; checking all the post & telephone messages waiting for us.

Also whilst I was away there were 2 packages delivered - well not delivered actually as they were too big for letterbox.  Royal mail had tried to redeliver them as well - so I was a bit worried they may have been returned to sender - but no they were still there as I found out when I popped to the sorting office & collected them.  One was a birthday present from my brothers girlfriend & family - a nice box of Dove products.  Very nice - I do like Dove.  The other was a craft item.

So not much chance to blog today so I hope you don't mind.

Tomorrow I hope to get various photos sorted to show you & also take photos of my birthday cards so that I can show those to you later too. 

My first workshop this week is on Thursday & is one of the crochet sessions - so fortunately all preparation work done - but then the rest of the month the workshops need new samples.  So I should be busy.

    You sound like you've had a lovely, relaxing time. It's been fun following you around France - even while we've been riding around Germany.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
