Hi Ladies
What dreadful weather we have had today - I hope you didn't get caught in it.

Well! I have several large piles of Christmas cards on my dining room table all waiting for the inserts to be put in then they are finished.

Bob decided he wanted 13 cards to send out & so I gave him some from a card kit I had made up back about early October.  That means I still have some more to make for myself - but that's fine.

Now it's time to decide how I make the cards for the family.

Tomorrow Bob & I are off to his Naval lunch which will be very nice, then I may have a workshop on Thursday morning but it is not looking too good at the moment.  Starting on Thursday there is a Celtic Christmas Fair at Broughton Retail Park (I expect you have heard about it) - I am hoping to go on Thursday with Sue.  That takes us to Friday when I will probably be back to card making.

My knitting is coming on well & I suspect I will finish the scarf tomorrow night.

It is hard to believe that it is December on Thursday & the days to Christmas are counting down fast. Where has this year gone - I know it hasn't finished yet but there isn't much left is there!

Next Wednesday (7th) sees the final meeting for CSNW after that I will put up the programme for 2012 & that may also be when I change the layout of the blog, I haven't quite made up my mind yet.  I have a lady who is going to help me & I don't want to encroach on her Christmas & New Year.

Well that is me for tonight.  More tomorrow.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
