A tidy up day

Hi everyone

Well I did take the plunge this afternoon & start to restyle my craft desk. I removed everything in order to start again & then gradually started sorting the things I wanted on the desk, along with what I wanted them in.  Here is a picture

The two photos show the left side & right side of my desk (the whole desk wouldn't fit in in one photo). There is a box of cards that will be going to a fund raising coffee morning, the little boxes that hold all manner of bits & pieces, my paper cutter, & a set of drawers that hold my scissors, DSST etc.  The little fabric buckets I bought last week can be seen at the side & on the top of the drawer unit.  On my cutting mat is some decoupage that has been waiting to be used.  So this afternoon in order to try my tidy desk out I put them together.  They will be made into cards tomorrow.

In front on the top photo is a little purple card - can't remember if I have shown you before but here it is anyway .......

I made it for a recent challenge, then today realised it was ideal for our grand-daughters birthday card & she loves bling.  She will be 16 on Friday.

There is still more stuff to tidy &  boxes & drawers to be reorganised - but I will get there.

Ooh nearly forgot - that little post yesterday to say that I had updated one of the club pages was our 600th post.  So this one is number 601 - soon grows doesn't it!

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
