CSNW Important Notice

Ladies of CSNW - I am really very very sorry but I will not be able to make it to club night on Wednesday.

Whilst my coughing has eased a bit today, I have no energy & am very unsteady on my feet. I have hardly eaten since Thursday - hence the lack of energy I think. There is no way I would be able to drive & even though I had a plan B to ask Bob to drive me there I am afraid I wouldn't be any good once there.

If you read this could you let as many ladies know as possible & I will try & ring around as well.  I will call the centre tomorrow to let Maureen know we won't be there.  It is such a shame especially as we had been able to move it from last week to save you missing a meeting.  We will just shunt the programme down a month.

Once again - I really am sorry.

We have already booked the alternate date for the July meeting when I will be on holiday - this will now be on July 11 rather than July 4.

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
