Hi ladies
Just thought I would pop in again & let you know what I have been up to creativity wise the last couple of days, now that I have just got started again.

I needed something to get my creativity going again so I sat & played with my digital scrap booking software & a couple of photos from my god-daughters wedding.   I am doing what they call hybrid scrap booking (that is sticking papers & photographs together etc) - but not for every photo I take.  Some of them I am using digital layouts & her wedding is one of those events.  I thought you might like to see one of them


It is this side of digital scrap booking that I like, as the photo of the couple cutting the cake has been merged into the background paper - because for this page I wanted the cake to take centre stage.  I think it has worked well.  I have just noticed that I haven't put their names on the page - just the date.  May change that.

Sadly today I had to make sympathy cards as over the weekend an elderly colleague of mine, through another of my interests, passed away suddenly.  It is always sad to have to make these cards & especially so when the person is so active & sprightly.  I shall miss her very much as we went to functions & events together & I often used to visit & sit & have long chats putting the world to rights.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
