Mold II photos - part 1

Good morning ladies

Well, thank you to Helen for taking last night's photos for me & here is the first set.  They are of the Show & Tell, the theme of which was a card depicting transport.


That is a really happy card & I love the image


Somebody's father is going to be very pleased to receive this card.  I am sure I have that car stamp!

That is a fantastic image, from a time when trains were trains.

I love this tag there is so much happening.  I am assuming the 2 people getting out of the car are separate stamps to the car - please let me know.

I really like the use of this image - sorry about the flash light in the middle of it.  (I meant to suggest that Helen switch the flash off)

What a great card - love the dictionary paper & map used with the main image.  Is that a "Happy Birthday" sentiment sticking out of the back of the train image?  is it a tab that pulls out to reveal the message?  Please let me know.

Another great design & I really like that quote.  It's very true.

Right! I am off now to write about the project cards from the evening.  Be back in a little while.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
