mold meeeting photos - part 2

Hi - I am back again

This time I have the photos of the project from the Mold club meeting last night.  Joanna provided a sketch for everyone to follow;


Here is the sketch


Very clean & delicate design

I have that central image stamp as well

Pretty in pink.  Is that one stamp?  Or is it a buildup of teacups.


Ah - you just cannot go wrong with shoes & handbags

One of my favourite colours - very delicate

Again a light change to the layout but the original sketch can be clearly seen
An interesting use of papers - they work so well together
What an imposing image - I need to find out more about that one.  Stunning.

 The anemones really suit this design & I see the mesh that Joanna has been used on this one.
Oops I have just looked at the ones above again & there is some of this mesh on some of those.  I didn't spot it at first.

Simple & elegant design - the central image appears to be raised.

I have to ask if the lettering on the panels was put together or is it one stamp - its very effective whichever it is.

I recognise that image - it was a freebie on Craft Stamper.  What great impact it gives on this card.

Lovely cards ladies.  Well done & thank you Joanna for looking after the meeting for me & searching out the sketch.

    Hi Gloria, the lettering on the panels (on the butterfly card) is all one stamp - very useful I think. That plus the butterflies and the pattern on the top panel are all from the same stamp set.

    It was great to see all the different interpretations and good to see the concentration on the faces :) You could see the wheels spinning in there - was quite a challenge making a card in a short time like that rather than having lots of time to think about it and plan. Worked very well though.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
