just chatting

Hi everyone

Sorry I didn't stop by yesterday & chat - but I was doing some sorting & cleaning & I am afraid I did too much.  I was really tired later in the day.  Will probably get told off by Bob when he gets home & sees what I have done.

What about that rain!  The road outside our house was flooded & it was running into our front garden.

At the moment I am waiting for the gas board as I have had to call them back - I do not have any hot water.  Also my brother & nephew are due to pop in as they going to Anglesey for some racing this weekend.  I got a text to say the boat had left on time, then shortly after got another to say they would be later than expected as the boat had had to return to the Isle of Man.  So - a day of waiting for things to happen.

Tonight is the August meeting for Mold club - so tomorrow I should have some photos for you of their work.  Although tomorrow we are going over to see Bob's brother & his wife, taking Russ & Nadine with us.  But I should still have time to pop in long enough to share the photos with you.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
