Good morning ladies

A quick pop in to say if anyone else other than Verena had spotted that the CSNW club page had a problem - I have now been back in toit & it is now OK & working.  Computers! - there are times when I really hate them. Perhaps I shouldn't say that too loud or the Gremlins might get me again.

Didn't post anything yesterday as I spent most of the day with a friend.  I hope to get some crafting in shortly this morning, then in the afternoon I am off to have my hair done - it needs cutting.  Tomorrow I am out with our daughter-in-law, Nadine, for the day.  We are going window shopping for outfits for next April.  It will be window shopping too - because I am currently trying to drop a dress size.  I just want to see what sort of styles there are around, & an idea of cost too, of course.  Also I am looking for something to wear to a Naval reunion dinner in October.

So, hope to be back later with some craft photos.  Whilst having my breakfast in front of the TV I caught a little of C&C with Rosemary Merry & Scrapbooking.  She had a couple of rather nice ideas that I want to try in stamping.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
