Good morning ladies - another nice day - perhaps we are going to have an Indian Summer???????

Tonight is the September meeting for CSNW so I will have photos for you tomorrow, as of course per usual it is too late in the evening to get them on here today.  September - I ask you - where has this year gone!

I do have a card to show you today - but it is not stamped. It is my brother's birthday at the end of the month & he is always so difficult to make cards for.  Last year I did him one with a cheetah on because it look so chilled out laying in the long grass.  Not sure why as my brother is not always chilled out.

This time I have made him a digital card - using an old paper cutting of him & a friend.


Now I only have one little worry about this card.  The friend he is racing with here, sadly passed away within the last 12 months - so I am hoping it is not too poignant.  I am hoping he will see it for what it is - a great memory.

Right I am off to make sure I have everything in the box for tonight & also in my bag for a workshop tomorrow morning.  It has 3 people booked on it - so fingers crossed they all turn up.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
