Today I had to sort the cards that were going out to the States.  I am OK time wise for Christmas cards but it is Bob's daughters wedding anniversary on the 12th & I am hoping the package which has that card in as well will arrive on time.

For her Christmas card I  decided to send her the easel card that I made this weekend for a challenge - I wrote about it yesterday.

Other than that I have had a bit of a domestic day really - you have to now & again don't you.

Tomorrow I have to finish wrapping the Christmas goodies for CSNW who have their final 2012 meeting on Wednesday.  I tried to get them all done at one go - but the wrapping really stressed my hand so I have been doing it in small batches.  Nearly done.

When I looked at my Christmas card list earlier today I found rather surprisingly that I am further advanced than I thought - but mustn't sit back on the task.  Most of my Christmas shopping is done - so that is also a good point.  Our Turkey is ordered so that is another job out of the way.  So in all in all it is not looking too bad.  Just keep my fingers crossed that there isn't something I should have done by now which I have forgotten about.

Will try & give you some crafty news tomorrow.

Nice news about Kate & William - that lady who gave them the baby-grow last week must have had a premonition.  Bless.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
