still just chatting

I am afraid for me there was no crafting today - but I did get to use some of the cards I have made recently.  I needed a birthday card, a get well card & 2 thinking of you cards.  So it was very fortunate that I sat & made a couple of cards a day recently.  What's more I found out earlier this evening I need another birthday card.  If this keeps going like this I will need to sit myself down again & start making 2 cards a day.

I am having a wedding preparation day tomorrow.  Nadine is going to come round to help me with the table decorations.  I have done some work towards them so hope to get a lot done tomorrow.  Having another pair of hands to hold things - especially so you can stand back & see what it looks like is a great help.

I had the first 2013 meeting of my HSNW club tonight - the one in January was snowed off - it was so nice to see everyone.

Well that briefly is my day today - I hope you have all had a good one.

I think I will be off to bed soon - so night night - sleep well.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
