Two more cards

I am trying to produce some quick, clean & simple cards this week & today I have made 2 more.  Once again they are both decorated in the same way.  Here they are;


I stamped the butterfly onto a strip of white card & cut around the right hand wing to lift it off the page.  Then I layered onto a strip of coloured card that I had cut with my scallopy post stamp edged scissors.  Then stamped a butterfly directly on the card in the opposite corner.  There is space on the white strip to add the sentiment when I know what I want it to be.


Another version using a piece of bright green card I thought I would never use.  Then amazingly I found on one of my multi-ink pads there was a co-ordinating green.

So a selection of these cards buildig up nicely.

Tonight is the first 2013 meeting for CSNW members & it looks like the snow has held off which is good.  So tomorrow there will be photos.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
