Hi - thought I would pop in for a few minutes - we have just had a nice evening with Russ & Nadine, & Bob has just left to take the home.  Other than their visit we have had ourselves a pretty lazy day.

Which was very much the case yesterday too.  Although I did meet up with a friend for coffee down at Daleside Garden Centre in the morning - where we had a nice coffee, a cherry scone & a really good natter.

Tomorrow we are going to have a run out - probably over to Cheshire Oaks - well M & S actually.  Then a fairly relaxed rest of the day & weekend.

In a way this is the last weekend we can be so relaxed & laid back.  All the different elements that make up Thursday 25 April are coming together now.  So! it's dotting the i's & crossing the t's really.

Next week sees the postponed Mold II meeting on Tuesday & then on Wednesday it is the April meeting for CSNW - so a busy week.

Did you all remember to alter your clocks?  So Summer is supposed to be here now!

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
