................ Hawarden.

Yes, in Hawarden.  This morning after a brilliant day yesterday Bob has fallen foul of the Novo Virus & has been so poorly I had to call the Doctor & she recommends  ------  no travelling.

So - Malta on the back boiler for now.  If he is feeling better in a few days we will probably jump in the car & find somewhere nice to stay for a couple of days.  These things happen in life - but I would rather we stayed here than he be unwell on the plane or in Malta.

Whilst we are staying quiet over these couple of days will try & get you some preparation photos to see, & on the day ones if friends send them in.

    Oh Gloria, what a shame, poor Bob. As you say, better here than in Malta or flying! Oh well, I'm sure you'll enjoy it just as much when you can get there later. Hope you had a wonderful day.

      We had an absolutely wonderful day - it was everything we wanted.
      Hopefully if Bob feels better later we will get away for a few days. It is so sad - he looks so poorly & yesterday he looked just great.
      Such is life.

    Oh what bad luck....hopefully Bob will be feeling much better soon. At least you can have a nice time looking at the photos everyone has taken of your big day whilst Bob is recouperating. Love Dotx

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
