Mold II Photos - part 1

Good evening

I am here with the first set of photos from last night's Mold II meeting which is of their Show & Tell where the theme was "depict a film title";

As I held them up the ladies had to guess the film - there were some very interesting answers on all of them.


Bird Song
I love the little bird cut from sheet  music - very clever
A great film of the book by Sebastian Faulks set mainly in WW1


Moulin Rouge
As soon as you know it is obvious - great idea
A great musical starring one of my favourites - Ewan McGregor


Papillon
The island & the butterfly should have been clues enough!
There was an apology for no stamping on this one
Surely everybody saw Steve McQueen in this one?????????????


Days of wine & roses.
Look at the beautiful cut rose 
A great Blake Edwards film about alcohol addiction.


The owner of this card said it was made just before coming to the meeting & was a joke
We all made strange guesses & when we were told the answer - great hilarity broke out.

What is it?     Why - it is "Gone with the wind"              of course
One of the all time greats in films - & of course we all loved Rhett Butler (er Clark Gable)

A great Show & Tell ladies & lots of fun.

Back in a little while with the project for the evening..

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
