Catching up

Hi everyone
Last time I wrote a post I told you all I had come down with this awful cold & that I would post again when I felt brighter & catch up on the things I have to do over the weekend.

Well! I haven't done those things & that has been due to the fact that as well as having this cough & cold, I have not been at home over the weekend.  This weekend just gone Bob & I were due to be at a Naval Reunion dinner in Portsmouth.

Bob supports me in everything that I do - & I really felt that I had to dose myself up & make it to this reunion dinner.  So, that is what I did & off we went.  Therefore this is another reason I have not posted over the weekend as we do try to keep close to our chests when we are not at home.

The weekend also gave me a chance to grab a couple of hours with my friend Veronica.

So tomorrow I will get the photos up on the blog that I had promised to do.  Plus the programme for each club over the rest of the year.,

I think that is our last weekend away until sometime next year - so I can knuckle down & get things done.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
