A productive afternoon

Good afternoon everyone - what a miserable day!

I tucked myself into my lovely craft room once we were back from the weekly shop & got on with organising more items towards my Christmas cards.

As I was hunting for something yesterday - I think it was a mask I had bought a couple of months ago from Stamps Away - I found a little poly-bag with some more Christmas fabric squares in. They were really nice - so that became my session.  Or at least part of it.

I glued them to white card to stabilise them then after leaving them to dry I trimmed them to size. Next I decided on what stamping would go with them.  A little while later 6 very nice Christmas cards in my usual clean & simple style.  I hope it shows up in the photo but the designs are just in black, gold & white - so I stamped & embossed 2 "Merry Christmas" on each card & a snowflake in the corner.

After a quick break for some lunch - it was back to the work desk.

This time I stamped & embossed in silver some images that will be toppers on my card bases I embossed yesterday.  Two of the styles I then cut out with a die - but one design I am actually waiting for the die to cut the image out.  Here are the 2 that I have cut out - I have 6 of each;

The "let it snow" stamp was free recently on a card making magazine & the snowflake is one of CaroLines stamps & I may be adding a little colour to that one.

I haven't photographed the other images I stamped as they have yet to be die-cut.  It was by chance that I noticed on the packet (they too were free recently with a magazine) - that there was a matching Spellbinder Die.  The stamps were from 2011 so I wasn't sure I would be able to get the die - but I found it in several places & the best price was from a company called Craft World.  I ordered it & it has been dispatched - so hope to have it Monday.

Then I had another go at a Zentangle Christmas card using the "Snow" stamp;

This is it stamped onto white card - I will cut it out & mount it onto a card along with a sentiment.  I wasn't sure when I finished it I thought the W might be a bit heavy - but somehow you look at it differently if you either walk away a bit or look at it via a photo.  It looks pretty good in the photo.

So that has been my afternoon.  More play tomorrow I hope.  But now a nice cup of tea & then look forward to our meal with the family.  I must admit this weather makes you want to stay indoors in the dry - doesn't it!

Have a great evening - 'by for now.
