CSNW - photos - part 1

Good morning everyone.

In this post I have the photos from last nights Show & Tell at the CSNW meeting - where the theme was a card in peach, light blue & kraft with theme of choice.


A lovely combination of the colours - that circular stamped frame is very pretty.


A really classic layout - the focal image is a lady's head (click on it to get a better view - although it was very subtly stamped).  Due to lighting in rooms the colours that are shown here are not always as true to the colour when you see the card in the flesh. I remember those flowers being slightly softer in colour than appears here.


A beautiful easel card - what a lovely shape too.


This design is so delicate - all those lovely lacy borders - beautifully punched out.


One of those lovely clean & simple designs - very pretty.

Just returning to the subject of photography - I do only have a point & click (well a little better than that) but not a posh camera. So all in all the cards do get well captured.  Any fuzziness & distortion that sometimes creeps in is down to me not the camera.  :)

I will be back a little later with the photos of the project for the evening.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
