IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR MOLD CLUB MEMBERS

an important message for mold club members  -  October meeting

I will leave this message sitting at the top of the blog page until after the next meeting to ensure everyone sees it.  I will also email as many of you as I can - so please can you also pass on the information to as many as you can to make sure that everyone is notified.

EXTRA NOTE:    Clare has raised the point about parking on the night - I will contact the centre again, but the cars should be coming & going as they will only be there long enough to cast their vote.  At a push there is parking in the hospital just the other side of the hedge,

I have just had a phone call from Parkfields Community Centre
our hall is being used for local council elections (as a polling station)
on the night of the October meeting - that is - 16 October

Fortunately they can accommodate us in the smaller room at the
end of the hall.

As the polling station will still be open at that time please try to
be as invisible as possible & possibly you will not be able to use the kitchen

What a shame they didn't ring me yesterday - then I could have told you at the meeting.

    Would have thought that parking would be a problem if it's polling night.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
