snowman progresses

Hi everyone - its a bit late in the day so I am popping in very quickly just to show you how my snowman has progressed.

This is only one idea;


He has only been coloured in so far, including glitter on the bobble & cuff of his hat  - but my next step is to cut him out & then put him on a card.  Get that hat too - isn't it great?  I have another colourway done that is already on a card & I will show you that tomorrow.

Talking about showing you what I am up to - I am going to be rather busy between now & almost the end of October - so if you have any cards you have made recently - and you have photographed them - please send them in for me to show.  This means I will be able to put things on the blog without having to "do" much myself.  Please also give me a brief idea of what the card - or project - was for to help me pad the post out.  But it would be good just to showcase your cards without any writing. If you have things that I can show can I have them sent to me by next Tuesday (14th).

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
