.............. of a different kind.

One Mold club member who does a lot of different crafting as well as stamping is Joanna & she involves herself in various blogs & craft websites.  One of these is Michael Strong & just recently she was given a task of being Card Captain for a week.  As I understand it Joanna had to make some cards for others to share - please go over to her blog to see what she achieved.

There is certainly lots of inspiration there - I particularly like the white on white card.  Leave her a comment too - it is always nice to receive comments on work you have blogged.  I am always pleased to receive those on my blogs.

    Thanks Gloria, being Card Captain meant I made a different card to share with my fellow group members for 5 days. They had to use at least one of Michaels stamps, of course.

    These were posted to the Yahoo Group for Michael Strong members and also to their Facebook page. I like to give more details and show more photos so that's why they're on my blog as well :)

    It's quite daunting to think of having to make 5 cards, and to make them different and interesting but, in actual fact, it was a lot of fun and quite liberating.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
