Good evening everyone - well the weather did us proud in the end - I hope you have had a lovely Easter weekend.

Yesterday we pottered in the garden for a while & then Bob went & picked up Russ & Nadine, as Russ was going to help him with some things , so it made sense to have them here for dinner.  A very pleasant afternoon & evening.

Today has been glorious & we have spent most of it in the garden - clearing away the winter debris & sorting pots for planting anew & giving us time to sit & enjoy.

Today is also the first day of Bob's semi-retirement. He didn't want to give up all in one go but to break into it gently.

Well no paper crafting done this weekend, but I do have a couple of cards I will be able to show you - will sort the photos out for tomorrow.  Then I must settle down & make some more for birthdays that are on the horizon.  I am also trying out some crochet motifs & borders for my workshops. I found a great site with video instructions - the lady is Russian or similar nationality & I really have to concentrate hard on what she is saying - but it has been most helpful.

Well that is me for today - just popping in quickly - enjoy the rest of the day.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
