csnw photos - part 2

Good afternoon everyone.  where has the sunshine gone?  Never mind I hope that it isn't stopping you from having a good weekend.

Today I have the photos from the project for the CSNW meeting on Wednesday - where the theme was using tissue paper in their designs.  Each lady was given a piece of water colour paper & a piece of glossy card to try the technique on;

Two designs from Ann F - showing how good the silhouette style stamps look on these backgrounds.

Clare also created two designs. The top one is clearly on the water colour paper as it has curled a bit, & the lower one is on the glossy card.

Grace gave me this one design to photograph - it will be interesting to see what this goes on to become.  What will go in the white space?

Again the two designs created by Gwen show the 2 different types of card used.  Love the colours on the top design.

Joan really got carried away producing 4 pieces of work & I love the dripping colour on the top one.  She was concerned that she had only partially coloured the cards - but that was how I demonstrated it.  There is plenty of options open to her from taking these further.

Joyce also tried the partial colouring on her designs& as I said for Joan's work - lots of possibilities there to create further.

Kate managed to create 3 pieces - I think she said she may have stamped onto the background whilst the card was still slightly damp, so the image not quite so strong.

This design of  Margaret's came about because she felt she had too much white space at the side.  Margaret is fairly new & I suggested she tore the card (well actually it is the water colour paper) to give a more relaxed appearance.  It is quite scary first time, isn't Margaret?  I think it is quite possible the other straight sides might get torn later. The stamp she used was the raffle prize she had won recently.

These last two designs are from Pat - a friend of Gwens who was visiting us that evening.  Love the colours very delicate & so much can be done with that bottom image.

It was a good evening with great results - well done ladies.

OK - that's me for today.  Will try & get back over the weekend.
