Good afternoon everyone.

Not a lot in the way of crafting for me this weekend, but I did get some work done in the garden which was good.

Earlier today we had the man call round to get rid of our wasps nests, so need to steer clear of that corner of the house for a while because they do get rather upset about our decision to wipe out their house.

Tonight is my night for going to HSNW club meeting & also tonight it is me that is doing the demo.  I will be showing them the Etching & Pointillism that you all got to see how to do earlier this year  - or was it the end of last year?  I don't know where does the time go!

So I have just been through all my things to check I have everything.  The August meeting is also our birthday month & this year we are 20 years of age.

Well. that is all for today - so I am going to try & get some crafting done. It will mostly be preparation for things to come.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
