Good evening everyone.

I hope you all had a good weekend.

We had a very pleasant evening yesterday when Nadine & Russ came round for the evening, & then this morning Nadine & I did a bit of shopping at Marks & Spencers over at Cheshire Oaks.

That lovely workshop I attended on Saturday did leave me very tired & yesterday I seemed to get my cough back, which has left me weary again - so after my shopping session I was once again lacking in energy. So sadly I did not get to the last 2015 meeting of the Happy Stampers club tonight.  It will be the first pre-Christmas meeting I have missed in the 20 year history of the club.

Talking about last meetings for 2015 - it is the last one for Mold club this week,  Goodness  I had better work out what I have in store for January for them & get their programme written.

I have a member showcase for you which I will post tomorrow when I have downloaded the photo & resized it for the blog.

I am still behind with my Christmas card making & I am hoping that this tiredness will go away & my mojo kick in so I can get on with the task.  This is the most behind I have ever been in preparing my cards & I don't like it at all.  Right! enough moaning.

Hopefully some cheerier blogging tomorrow & some craft photos to show you.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
