Mold photos - part 2

Good evening everyone - how is your weekend going?

Mine started off nicely as along with Helen of Mold II club I met up with Jeanette, who used to be a member of Mold II club, for a coffee & a natter this morning. I hadn't seen Jeanette for a year we discovered - that's how time flies.

So, today I have the photos from the Mold meeting on Thursday & this time it is of their project which was another technique using Distress Inks, & once again demonstrated by Joanna.  Thank you Joanna - your help over the last few months has been very much appreciated.

This technique is called "bleach blocking" & not a bottle of bleach in sight. The idea is that you colour the card - or water colour paper / card - with Distress Inks using about 3 colours. Then the magic happens when you use cut 'n dry pads & water.  Sometimes you create clear blocks & sometimes it is more subtle - but it is very relaxing to do & great as a background, as you will see;

Lovely bright colours from Sheelagh & that dandelion stamp works a treat on it.

Mair managed to create 4 backgrounds & stamp on them all. I love the subtle tones of the one at top right.

Yvonne produced some really bright striking backgrounds & you can clearly see the bleach blocking on them as well.

Fiona managed to layer one of her samples onto a stamped background to complete a card.

Lynn has produced 4 samples & stamped on 2 of them.  The bleach blocking is so clear to be seen.

Maureen has managed to create 2 lovely finished cards & again the bleach blocking is clear to see especially in the pink one.

Janet's bleach blocking is there for everyone to see & although quite a marked pattern it does not detract from the stamped images.

These are the worked samples brought along by Joanna to show us.

I think I see another Christmas card style for me to work with & lots of use of it next year for all occasions.  I loved doing them, but forgot to photograph my work.  Might do that tomorrow & show you.

That's me for today.  'Bye for now.
