...........make next.

Well! I made this card;


I tried to create something totally different to the card I showed you yesterday, & I think I have.

This time I took one of my embossed pieces of card & coloured it with Distress Ink using Salty Ocean & Mustard Seed - blue & yellow respectively.  I chose these 2 colours because using them together I would get a third colour - green of course.  Once again I went for the to edge.  I then stamped the grasses in a pale green pigment ink & heat embossed it with clear EP - the fairy & the sentiment & the "sparkles" around the edge of the card were stamped in Watermark ink & heat embossed in gold EP.

I then gave the topper a torn edge & - surprise, surprise for me - added glitter to the fairy's wings using a Quickie Glue Pen & glitter.  I think you can just make out the glitter.

So another weekend upon us & a very cold one too.  We had had snow here when we woke up this morning, & there was a further shower during the morning. But most of  the afternoon it has been sleety rain.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
