Another card

Good afternoon ladies

I have another of my cards to show you today & this time it is the card I made for Elayne, our daughter in law, for her recent birthday.


I used another of the Honeydoo stamps that I bought at the Stamp Festival. 

I love the combination of flourish & flowers.  It makes for a very elegant & clean card.  The designs stamp beautifully clear & the flowers are brilliant for cutting out & overlaying for depth. The stamp is actually described as a corner but I rather liked the way it looked turned that way. The "Happy Birthday" is from a very much loved & used set of words, by Clearly Besotted.

Yesterday evening I was at the meeting of my HSNW club & one of the members showed us 2 lovely little projects - one of which I think we (that is you) may have made a long time ago.  Anyway I asked if she would object to me showing the projects to you - & she was delighted that I wanted to. So I will pop them in to the programme for next year. One of the items needs to be searched for - but I have plenty of time for that.

So that is my post for today. I do have another recently made card to show you - so will do that tomorrow.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
