Hello everyone.  I hope you are having a nice bank holiday weekend & not eating too many chocolate eggs.  😊

On Friday I returned to the special card I was making that had the problem with low tack tape removing the lustre on the card.  I decided I couldn't think of a way to nicely cover it - so I scrapped it altogether, & started again.  This time I used a nice textured cream card & everything went really well. Then on Saturday whilst in the swing of creating I made 2 more cards - one for my step-grandaughter who will be 40 at the end of the month, & one for Iwan who is Gareth's stepson & he will be 14 early in May.

I cannot show you the 3 cards until they have been received by the recipients - so keep a eye for them in a couple of weeks time.

Yesterday afternoon we had a visit from Elayne & Gareth with the lovely news - that their baby is going to be a boy - so we are having a Grandson  👦

After chatting for a while we went out for a meal & had a very pleasant couple of hours.  We went to the Celtic Arms in Northop.  Excellent meal.

The food doesn't stop there though - later today we are meeting up with one of Bob's sisters-in-law along with her daughters & their spouses for another meal.  Bang goes my diet! 😁

What a great way to spend a weekend!

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
