CSNW photos - part 1

Good afternoon everyone - or I guess it is almost - evening!

This afternoon I have the first set of photos from last night's meeting of the CSNW club, & they are of their Show & Tell where the theme was a card from a sketch using Cream, Brown & Black.

Here is the sketch

I like the way Ruth has layered the band across the card & made it quite wide.
Also like that cute pin wheel flower. Very nice.


Gwen's very simple version is quite stylised & would be very suitable for a mans card


An elegant look to Ann's card with those flower toppers. Because they are more or less  outline images gives it a very clean & smart finish.


Clare went for a combination of image & words for her toppers which works really well.
I like the idea of verses on the front of a card - I don't think they always need to be inside.


Really beautiful rose stamp used twice on Joan's card & that black paper flower really sets it off.

I also have 2 other cards to show which are last months cards brought back finished;

Ruth had actually made a new card - really pretty Ruth.



Gwen also made a new card in these lovely pastel colours.

Thank you for bringing them back for us to see ladies.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

 Just to let the CSNW ladies know I have updated the page showing their Show & Tell cards for this month. Due to a problem with WhatsApp I didn't receive Ruth's card - I have now & have updated the post to include her card.

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
