THE DATE OF YOUR JANUARY MEETING IS
AS FIRST DISPLAYED

THE 23RD OF JANUARY

That is the fourth Tuesday in the month

This year January has 5 Tuesdays in it.

This confusion with the date came about when I received an email from Parkfields querying the date as they believed the 23rd was the third Tuesday.

Wanting the blog to be corrected quickly I just went ahead & changed it - but then today I opened an email from Annette asking if that change of date was right.

I have emailed Parkields again & pointed out that the 23rd is in fact the fourth Tuesday & was correct. I am now going to go back to the Mold II page & change it back again.  I think they made the error of thinking that we met on the LAST Tuesday of the month - which of course the fourth Tuesday usually is - but not this month!

So - I hope everyone is aware that it is the 23rd.

Sorry for the confusion & I should have been awake when I read about it then I wouldn't have changed it.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
