Mold photos - part 1

Good afternoon everyone.  Brr! I do not like this cold & by choice I don't think I will go out in it either.  Although I did brave it this morning so that I have could have my hair done - it needed a tidy up.

Anyway.  Mold club photos.  This afternoon I have the first set of photos from their meeting last night & they are of their Show & Tell cards.  The theme was set by Joanna - thank you Joanna - & it was to make a card from a sketch using mainly yellow & grey.

This is Janet's card with the 2 background pieces in the 2 colours. Some lovely air balloons as the decoration over an embossed background.


Here is Joan's card & this time her 2 background pieces are in 2 different shades of grey. 
Love that little floral embossing folder.
Pretty grey flowers on yellow circles for the decorations.  Ooh - with bling down the side too.


Here is Joanna's version.  Ooh now this is going to test my powers of observation.  I think the grey layer has the die cut edge & is laid over the yellow.    I am sure Joanna will correct me if I have got it wrong.  Love the flowers in the circles too.


Lynn's card has a plain grey section with a patterned paper with yellow dots on it for the other half.
Remember I did not see these cards in the flesh - just the photos like you are seeing them - at first I thought the yellow dots were on acetate over patterned paper.  I wonder.


I love Sheelagh's striped paper in the background & some beautiful grey & yellow flowers & flourish.
A really lovely bright spring type card - something to look forward to.


Yvonne has produced a lovely clean & simple card with 2 different shades of grey for 
the background pieces.  
Aren't those little characters cute?


Now - this is from someone who doesn't normally appear in the Show & Tells

yes - it's ME!

When Joanna sent me a copy of the sketch - I thought perhaps whilst I am taking it easy (?/?) I might be able to join in this & it would also help me to make a birthday card for the club lucky dip birthday card box.
The yellow was white card coloured with my new toy - Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens which I used for the yellow half & the butterflies.  I used a grey Promarker for the other half.

That is the photos for today - more tomorrow showing their project for the evening.

    Hi,
    It was a masterboard made using my usual messy style! Inks, paints and texture paste, stamps and stencils 😁😁
    The grey left hand side is velum.
    Love to play!!
    Was great to see you looking so well last night, hope your recovery continues a pace😘

    Your observations are correct Gloria :) The grey piece has a fancy die-cut edge over the yellow layer.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
