Some more of my cards ........

.............. the Christmas ones I made.

This time I have the card I made for our grandson & the one for his big brother;


Oops, this looks a little out of focus.  The Santa was in a kit along with the parcels & the paper came from some in a magazine.  I decided that Santa really needed to look a little more real so I covered his hat rim & bauble, his beard & clothes trim with glue then stuck on cotton wool from those little cotton wool balls .


This card was for his big brother, Iwan & the topper was the front half of some gift tags I bought which I thought made nicer toppers than tags. The backing paper was layered onto some holographic red card to tie in with the red edges of the topper.


This was a smaller card, also for Iwan, into which we put some money for his Christmas present. This was then placed in an envelope inside his Christmas card above.

Some more Christmas cards - the adult family ones, tomorrow.

Now that Christmas is over, the cards & decorations are down I will start to photograph all the lovely handmade cards I received & will show them here later.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
