a recent card

Good morning everyone.

Today I have one of my recent cards to show you.

It is the Valentines card I made for Bob;


I had decided to have a change from red as the main colour & after a little thinking decided on black & gold,.

The hearts are from a Tonic die that was free with the latest Tonic magazine.  I cut the largest & plainest in gold miri card, followed by the next size & lacy one in black card.  Then repeated that with the next size in gold & the small centre heart in black.  The centre hearts I placed on sticky pads to raise them a little.  I didn't want to put too much on it, but it needed a little more than just the hearts so I added those peel-off corners,.  The floor of the easel I layered with gold miri card & then layered some black & gold card to hold the message which was also the easel stop.

So that is me for today.

Mold club have their February meeting tonight - so there will be photos some time over next few days.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
