my finished Mold meeting cards

Good morning everyone.

Yesterday morning I popped in to my craft room & looked around wondering what I would sit down & do.  In the box on my desk are things that I have planned to do or to complete & on the top were the 3 "toppers" that I made at the May Mold meeting when Joanna showed as "Partial scene masking with dies".

So I set to & turned them into complete cards.


For this one I cut a slightly larger piece of white card & coloured the edges with the same colour I had used on the topper.  I then added the Happy Birthday & the butterfly.


This card I followed the same idea but coloured the edges of the card layer with the two colours in the topper so that they were the opposite way around.  
Then I added the Happy Birthday along with 2 butterflies.



Again, as I did with the others I created an edged layer card using the same ink.  
Also I used the same Happy Birthday & added the butterfly.

It is amazing how different the toppers look once they are layered & put them on a card.  A big thank you to Joanna for showing this technique I am definitely hooked.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
