csnw photos - both sets

Good morning everyone.  Just a little cooler today which suits me fine but I realise the majority of you want the nice warm - hot! - weather.

At last nights meeting (Wednesday) of the CSNW club, due to many reasons only 3 ladies were present.  We still made an evening of it & I will show both their Show & Tell photos & their Project photos in this one post.

I decided to hold over the project that should have been done yesterday until the September meeting & have updated the club page accordingly.  I will also send out text messages to those who didn't make it so that they will know what is happening.

So - to the photos, first the Show & Tell cards.  In July I gave everyone a kraft card circle reasonably thick so it would take all sorts of treatment.  Here is what they made;

Show & Tell cards;

Elvena
Elvena used her circle as a mask during various stages of spritzing the background paper, then she used she coloured the actual circle with all the colours she had used finishing off with thick embossing powder.  There is also a stamped design on the circle - I will show that in close up.

Ruth
Ruth decided she didn't like just the one circle so she cut 2 more & layered them with a floral die-cut shape adding a word to each one.  The background is some beautiful cream roses paper. The design was finished off with cream ribbon & pearls. Nice classic style card.

Gwen
Gwen created a very clean mixed media - collage style card.  The background is just made using some texture stamps & then some words associated with time.  The circle was used for the fob watch along with some raffia type thread to act as the chain.  The hessian patch at the top looks great. Fabulous card.

Project cards

At the beginning of the meeting I handed out the revised notes for the diorama card & explained the difference.  So, as Ruth had missed this project last month they all agreed to make another one using the new version.  Here are their photos - there will be 2 for each card - the outside & the inside;

Elvena
I am sure that Elvena made her background paper because she has mentioned that she rather likes doing that.  The contrasting band goes well with it, & as you will see the colour taken to the inside design on the flowers.

Gwen
A very delicate design to the front of Gwen's card. The flower is a die-cut which has been adhered to the front.  Gwen did say it wasn't a finished card, as you will inside - but it is already for its final touches.

Ruth
A really delightful topper decorates the front of Ruth's card, along with repeat of the patterned paper on the inside front as well as through the aperture.

All 3 ladies decided that this version was much better to create the card than the first one they tried. Copies of the notes were collected in order to pass them on to those ladies who did not attend.

A good evening & some lovely cards produced.
That's me for today.  Later we are off to visit our grandson.

More later.  'Bye.
