My Mold II card

Good afternoon all & what a grey day it is too, although I believe it is still quite warm.

I said in yesterdays post that I had to complete my card I made at Tuesday night Mold II club meeting.  So, this morning I did just that..................


The little embellishments were part of the booklet that the papers came from - so they are colour 
co-ordinated.

This card will not be going to anyone as I didn't make a very good job of the cutting & folding despite Carolyn's very precise written instructions & demo.

It's a poor master who blames his tools - but at the moment I do not work so well in the evening.  So I will keep that one as a sample & make another one taking more care.  I rather fancy making some of my Christmas cards from that design.

Well, the weekend is here again I do hope you have some nice things planned - of course its the last weekend before the children go back to school so will probably be busy.  Have fun!

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
