My project for Bank Holiday Monday

Image
Good afternoon everyone. I do hope you are all enjoying the bank holiday weekend. I have had a couple of paper-craft projects I have been meaning to try & so this morning I decided to first finish my Show & Tell card for the Mold S&T on Thursday & then indulge myself with one of those projects. I am not completely sure what it is called as the person whose tutorial I watched called it a wallet, & I see it as more of a storage piece for documents, papers, part prepared projects etc. Anyway here are a couple of photos - it is made from 12x12 card & paper; Front of the wallet Top flap open showing inside Showing underside of top flap. It is a very light stressed / antique look cream with the pretty floral patterns on  in delicate shades of pink. I have given it a magnet closure - & on the flap cover have placed a fancy brad over where the magnet is. I think I will eventually put something else on the front - perhaps to show what it is being used for. As I have

Good morning everyone. Today I have a member showcase for you & it is from Rachel of Mold club, who has been featured Papercrafter magazine. Here is what Rachel said -  " Well I made it into the Papercrafter magazine!!! Thanks to Jo’s previous technique of the circles botekeh (thingy). Ps I have written what I actually provided to them below - they made it sound antiquated by adding ‘ my dear mother’ not that Joanie isn’t of course lol!!!:" Well done Rachel. It's good to see that our members are still being recognised by the crafting press. Enjoy the bank holiday weekend everyone.

Good morning everyone - I do hope you have not been blown away in this dreadful windy weather & that you are all warm, safe & well. Today I have the photos of this months Mold II Show & Tell.  This idea was from Dot who suggested another Tic-Tac-Toe challenge this time with a masculine theme.  The card design to be based on any 3 items chosen from a row - either vertical, horizontal or a diagonal. Here are their cards; Annette Annette's choice the middle vertical line. Beer, Cars & Fishing. Carolyn Carolyn has gone down the right-hand vertical line. Shed, Gardening & Football, using printable items. Dot Dot chose the left-had vertical line. Golf, Rugby & Wine Dot has drawn around a tag shape 4 time leaving a small scored spine between them to make the screen shape card. Elma Elma chose one of the options with the Cars in it. He looks very sporty in his little car, doesn't he. Helen Helen chose the right-hand vertical column - Football, Gardening & S

Good afternoon everyone.  I do hope your weekend is going well. Today I have the photos from Mold club's second S&T of August.  The challenge was set by Rhiannon who asked "What are the 3 must go to items you always use. Show them & make a card" So that is what we did. Janet Janet just loves her Brushos, glossy accents & beads. Janet's Show & Tell cards using her new stamps. Joan Joan said she had so many things that for that S&T she chose these items Her card & stamps used, are in the photo as well. Joanna Who wouldn't be without her stamp positioner, black versafine ink &  those make-up brushes for blending.   Lynn Lynn's choice - Paints, brayer & a good Black Ink. & the result a fantastic birthday card Lynn had just moved house so I am surprised she was able to find anything. Maureen Maureen didn't say which she chose these items I love the card - that frame is so lovely & isn't he cute. Me This was difficult

Update to blog information - UPDATED UPDATE !!!!!

Have just checked Bob's test comments - they didn't come through. FORGET THAT - they have now come through, so they took their time. Urgh! I hate computers. Hello again Just to let you know I have updated the page - "How to leave a comment". I haven't had many comments left for some time now & wondered if there were probably some difficulties in doing so that I was not aware of.  Although no-one had said they couldn't leave a comment, so perhaps no problems. Anyway, as Blogger has made some changes to how I write a post I wondered whether the comments options had changed also.  So I got Bob to leave a test comment so that we could watch what the options were.  Having does this - I have now updated that info page to suit the current setup. It is important to remember that your comment DOES NOT SHOW straight away.  I have moderation set on it, due to the fact we used to get a lot of rubbish & spam & so putting moderation in meant I can intercept the

Just Chatting

Good afternoon everyone. I do hope you have a really nice weekend organised, although the weather forecast is not looking too friendly is it! I am in the process of sorting some photos from the latest project that Mold club undertook this week & hope to be able to blog them here over this weekend. I haven't received any "complaints" about my decision to postpone the return to normal club meetings in the New Year, so I guess you are all OK with that.  I have received a few emails saying people are happy with the decision which is helpful. Bob & I came out of shielding this week & my first trip out was on Thursday when I went to the hairdresser.  It was quite a strange experience with masks & face protectors etc, but such a relief to have my hair sorted. The wearing of, & speaking through, the masks takes a bit of getting use to doesn't it?  But better safe than sorry.  Wales seems to be doing better than other areas of the UK - so let's hope it

IMPORTANT NOTICE - PLEASE READ

THIS NOTICE IS FOR THE LADIES OF THE MOLD (THURSDAY) CLUB & THE MOLD II (TUESDAY) CLUB.   I apologise that this post is going to be rather long – but PLEASE do read all the way to the end. Also, if you know of any members who do not read the blog for whatever reason – please, if you are in contact with them pass this information on.   Thank you. On the 16 th I wrote a post here to let you all know that Parkfields was going to re-open on 1 st September.   I also inserted a copy of their floor plan & seating arrangements. If you go back to that post you will see there some reasoning I put forward on the suitability, or not, of their arrangements, based on the format of our club meetings.   It is important that we get back to Parkfields, quickly, with our decision of when we are going to re-start attending meetings there.   It is only fair to inform them as soon as possible, so that they know when & who will be returning, in order for them to organise their calendar of e

Good afternoon ladies. I hope you are all well. Today is my first allowed out day.  But I am going to take things slowly & the first outing will be on Thursday, as I have managed to get an appointment at the hairdressers.  Then I will feel a lot better & perhaps feel like going out a little bit. Anyway - I am here today with the photos from the Show & Tell cards made by the Mold club ladies last week.  The challenge was put forward by Sheelagh & was to use metallic items. Here are their cards; Ann Decided to have a little play using metallic paints, gold embossing powder & cosmic shimmer pixie powders. Janet Metallic Spray paints & metalllic paints are on Janet's card. Joan Joan's card she had actually made a few years ago - but thought it fitted the challenge. Joanna Joanna's metallic element is the "Noel 25" stamped & embossed in Bronze ultra thick EP. Lynn At the time of this challenge Lynn was busy moving house. She said -  " I
