Good afternoon ladies. Last week Bob started going down with a cold.  I told him I didn't want it & as he was going to be working away for3 days I thought I would be OK.  Oh, no! Yesterday I started sneezing, so dosed myself up & today it is down to one of those states where you need a paper hanky handy all the time. Fingers crossed it will go as quick. This morning I took a break from Christmas cards & made an anniversary card for our daughter who lives in the USA. It will have to go in the post tomorrow, along with Christmas cards to make sure it gets there on time. Here is the card; The base is a black 15cm  (6") square card & the background paper is one of the many in my stash. I am trying to use them a little more as I have far too much.   The flourish is a Tim Holtz die that I treated myself to last week.  It came with 2 other dies & they leave the pattern in the paper. I just love them & I have 4 others of his dies...

Good afternoon ladies & what a lovely sunny day - especially after the rain during the night. Just outside my craft room window is a beautiful rowan tree & it is covered in pink berries - these will be followed later by flowers. It is absolutely gorgeous.  I must pop out in a minute & take a photo. Now to show you the anniversary card I made for Gareth & Elayne's first wedding anniversary; The stamps are from Honey Doo Stamps & I bought them at the stamp festival at the beginning of the month. That is me but I may be back a little later for a chat. 'Bye.

Good evening ladies, how are you all? Tonight I have a photo for you of the card I made for my step-daughters wedding anniversary. She lives with her husband in the USA & we haven't seen her for about seven years now. Here is the card; The biggest problem with sending cards to the States is the postage - so they have to be as flat as they can be & still interesting.  I stamped this white card a while ago whilst giving one of my workshops at the garden centre.  I was showing the ladies how easy it is to make your own backgrounds. I kept it in a plastic wallet as I knew eventually it would be useful for a card. A couple of weeks ago I sat looking at it wondering what I would use it for when I noticed that I hadn't really thought about what stamps I was using, because this has butterflies & snowflakes!!  I then thought of Nicky - as her anniversary is a December anniversary - so the snowflakes would be OK.  Also isn't there a little saying alo...

Good evening everyone No crafting was done in this house today - but house tidying & work in the garden was undertaken.  So I have decided I will show you the card I made for Bob for our anniversaries. Yes I did say anniversaries - because I am sure you all know that we have always celebrated the anniversary of being together which this year rose to 29 years!  But of course because as we chose to get married on our anniversary it was also our first wedding anniversary.  Wow! that's a lot of use of the word anni.......... I wanted to make a card that covered both events so had in mind a concertina style card & in fact a little while ago I ordered a die for making a special kind of concertina card.  But as our date drew near I had to make other plans & finally came up with another idea.  When it came to putting words on it I found I didn't have much in the way of anni.......... so I stopped working on the card & popped to the craft shop &...
