Good afternoon everyone on another hot sultry day. I have got a little behind with showing member showcases & the things they have been maing during the lock-down - so I must try & catch up.  At the moment I get so caught up trying to get on top of my various projects it slips my mind.  So, my apologies. Here is the first one & it is from Sheelagh of Mold club. Now Sheelagh does a lot of crafting for charities & this photo of things she has been making deserve a rather large WOW! Sheelagh said her brother had handed her some wool - so she set too & used it. Everything is fabulous Sheelagh you have been busy. That's it today ladies.  'Bye for now & enjoy your weekend.

.......... to while away the time. Hello again. Today I have a member showcase from Sheelagh of Mold group, to show you. Sheelaghs comment that accompanied the photos - "2 new simple cards" Simple they may be Sheelagh but they are delightful Thank you for sharing. I have lost track of the days of the week, or possibly even the weeks.  We are now in our third week of isolation & it seems so much longer. But I think I can remember correctly that today is the day for the CSNW April Show & Tell cards.  I have received a photo of one so far.  Hope the rest turn up soon. Sadly I had to make a sympathy card yesterday as we heard that a lady from our lunch group lost her husband to Covid-19 on Monday.  It really hits home when it is someone you know.  Stay safe & well everyone please. 'Bye for now.

Good  morning everyone I hope you all had a good weekend. At the last Mold meeting a couple of weeks ago the Show & Tell card was to be a card using the colours coffee & cream.  This was one of the cards; It was made by Sheelagh. She so enjoyed making it that she sat & made some more - so that is my showcase for today. Here they are;- That is a fun card. What 11 year old girl wouldn't love this one Three views of the one made for a 13 year old sporty boy. They are great cards, Sheelagh & really reflect your fun approach to lots of your cards. That's my visit for today folks. 'Bye for now.

Good afternoon everyone I hope your weekend is going well. At the Mold meeting a week ago Thursday, Sheelagh one of the members, brought in her project from the October meeting. It wasn't that it hadn't been photographed it was because she wasn't at the meeting & made it at home from the project notes. The project was the pull up concertina hanging, & Sheelagh made two.  One a little smaller than the other - so Joanna took a photo of the two together to show the difference. Here are the photos; Three different views of Sheelagh's work on the one of the size in the project A photo with the two sizes made by Sheelagh, side by side. Thank you for bringing them to the meeting Sheelagh & I am sorry I missed it & thank you to Joanna for sending the photos. If Sheelagh is unable to attend a meeting she always try to make the project at home.  Well done Sheelagh - they are really lovely. Other member showcases to come. T...

Good morning everyone. Today I have a member showcase for you & it is from Sheelagh of Mold club.  Unfortunately Sheelagh was not at the meeting when Rachel showed the flower pot card, but Sheelagh did find something very similar.  She made the cards & sent me a photo. They are really lovely Sheelagh & so different to Rachel's design. I think they would make another great project for the club. Tonight is the July meeting of the Mold II club & I am looking forward to being there - so before I get lost in things to do here I had better put my box ready. Have a nice day More tomorrow 'Bye for now.

Good afternoon everyone - what a shame - it's raining.  But then we always need rain to keep this country looking green.  But today we, that is Bob & I, didn't want rain as we are having a new roof put on our summerhouse. I have been out for a while this morning but now that I am back they seem to have managed to get it covered just as the rain started.  Already it is looking much smarter. Right!  A member showcase. This morning I had an email from Sheelagh of Mold club.  This is what she said;                 "   Hello Gloria, this is just a warning to be careful when you give a handmade                      present to someone!! They might like it so much that they think it would be great                     to give one to someone else !!!             ...

Good morning everyone. This morning I have another members showcase for you.  I am so pleased that you are starting to sending me in things to write about on the blog. The showcase this morning is from Sheelagh of Mold club & is of another wooden tissue box that she has decorated. You may remember that she sent me photos a little while back & was also looking for more boxes & a reminder of how we decorated them.  You will find the post  HERE  if you want to remind yourself. Here is her latest box; This was made for a friend who had asked Sheelagh to make one for her & she chose the colours for Sheelagh to use.  It looks absolutely great Sheelagh.  Well done.  Love the colours & the antique look. That stamp has been around a while - I certainly had it, but not sure if I still have it.  It's an Anita's stamp. I managed to get a little creative yesterday by starting to make the box to put my batch of flower ...

Good afternoon everyone A little while ago I had an email from Sheelagh of Mold club who wanted to know where she could get hold of some tissue boxes like the ones we need in the October workshop. She wanted to decorate some more as someone had shown an interest in the one she had made then. She also hoped that she would be able to remember the process in decorating them. It hadn't been a difficult process but sometimes when you are talked through something, later on it is not easy to think of the order of things. Anyway, I managed to find a source for her for the boxes & I think Sheelagh had also found some square boxes as well - but not wooden.  Then I got in touch with Elizabeth who took the workshop regarding the decorating steps.  She, being the star she is - typed me up some notes.  In case anyone else is thinking of decorating another tissue box - or any box in a similar manner I will put the instructions on the blog.  Will let you know when I have...

Wonderful tags, Sheelagh,

Good morning ladies This morning I have a member showcase for you where someone responded to my question about "what did you make with your pieces from our techniques evenings". The response was from Sheelagh of Mold club & here is her card; The technique behind this card is Encaustic Wax - a technique we looked into quite a while ago.  Sheelagh said that she didn't really take to it at the time, but thought she would try using this piece.   It looks great Sheelagh & on closer inspection I can see that a 12-year old is the lucky recipient of this card. I am sure they will love it.  I have tried very hard to see what the name actually is - but the more I enlarge the photo the more indistinct it becomes. Thank you Sheelagh for sending this in. So! come on ladies - let us see your work.

Good afternoon everyone. Today I have a member showcase for you which this time is from Sheelagh of Mold club. Do you remember the stepper card we made a little while ago that was more like a set of little boxes? Well that is what Sheelagh used for a congratulations card she made recently; This is the view from the front & this is the view from the back. It is good to see the back decorated as well in this particular card. Its a great card Sheelagh & I am sure Olivia was (or will be) delighted with it. Thank you for sending in the photos for me to show everyone. That's me for this visit.  Back later - 'bye for now.

Good morning everyone & what another beautiful day it is too. This morning I have a member showcase photo for you & this time it is from Sheelagh of Mold club; I have shown these extra large because otherwise you cannot see the detail.  Aren't they lovely?  Well done Sheelagh & I am sure that Carolyn of Mold II club who showed us all how to make these will be absolutely delighted. I have another showcase for you later as I have spotted a card in a magazine from one of our ladies. Also I didn't take photos yesterday of the cards I had made at the workshop because Bob & I went out for most of the day.  We had a really beautiful drive around the Welsh countryside which we started by heading towards Ruthin, then out towards Bala (but didn't go there).  Along country lanes just big enough to take the car & we stumbled upon a very quaint pub where we stopped for a drink & having watched the food being brought out decided we would re...

Good morning everyone & look at that lovely blue sky! The member showcase today is from Sheelagh of Mold club & she has sent me a photo by email of the cards she has made with her Gorjuss stamp that was in her Christmas goodie bag; I have uploaded this photo somewhat larger than I usually do because I wanted you to see the names & ages.  Wow! Sheelagh you have been busy & I am sure that all 7 girls will be delighted.  Thank you for sending me the photo Sheelagh. Come on ladies - who else has used their Christmas stamp?  Send me photos please. Also from Thursdays Mold meeting I have 3 Project 2014 books to photograph & show you. I hope to do these through the week.  It is a slightly fragmented week for me this week, as I have a workshop tomorrow afternoon at the garden centre, then another one on Thursday morning & on Wednesday my brother is over for one evening. Sadly last night we heard that Bob's other brother has been t...

Good morning everyone. Today I have set 3 of the Mold club members 2014 project which was a round robin book.  The photos today are from Sheelagh's book where the theme is "Trees"; A great book for you to keep Sheelagh.  The last two photos are of the miniature versions of the tags that were put in the pockets at the back of the pocket holding details of who created each page & what they wrote. Nicely done everyone.
