just chatting

Hi everyone - sorry didn't get around to sorting next batch of photos as of course today was set up day for the HSNW Stamp Festival tomorrow. There are some new retailers there for you tomorrow - so for those of you who are going I hope you have a great day & I will want to know all about your purchases at our next meetings. I don't think I will be there tomorrow, after our health problem over the last couple of weeks I find I really don't have too much energy.  I found it very tiring this afternoon getting the rooms organised with Caroline & then checking the retailers are OK.  I guess age is catching up with me. I am trying to be very careful with spending at the moment as there are things afoot which I will be able to tell you about later.  Plus I really do have to get to grips with sorting my craft stuff - if only to realise what I have & what I don't have. As well as the CSNW meeting on Wednesday evening I have also started holding a few worksh...

still just chatting

I am afraid for me there was no crafting today - but I did get to use some of the cards I have made recently.  I needed a birthday card, a get well card & 2 thinking of you cards.  So it was very fortunate that I sat & made a couple of cards a day recently.  What's more I found out earlier this evening I need another birthday card.  If this keeps going like this I will need to sit myself down again & start making 2 cards a day. I am having a wedding preparation day tomorrow.  Nadine is going to come round to help me with the table decorations.  I have done some work towards them so hope to get a lot done tomorrow.  Having another pair of hands to hold things - especially so you can stand back & see what it looks like is a great help. I had the first 2013 meeting of my HSNW club tonight - the one in January was snowed off - it was so nice to see everyone. Well that briefly is my day today - I hope you have all had a ...

So to brighten the day up here is the first part of the A to Z cards made by Mold II member Liz.  Liz doesn't stamp quite as much as the rest of us but I think I can say that she was without question the keenest person for this project.  She started on it immediately & kept telling me how much fun she was having making them.  Liz is also keen on needlework & painting, which shows in some of her cards.  So here is her work; A - Abstract A clever idea for A - the needlework starts here B - Blackwork I would add B for Beautiful too C - Cockerel D - Dolphins Those blue flat back gems really make this card & I think Liz painted & hand cut the wavy frame E - Eagle Some lovely colouring on this one F - Fishing Some 3-d work here G - Guitar great masculine card H - Hippo This ...
