Good morning everyone. This morning I have another member showcase & it is from another Mold II member - this time Dot. This is a card Dot made for her son who is a keen cyclist. This is what Dot said in her email; "Here is my latest card made for my cycling-mad son's upcoming birthday.   I  cut up a map, one showing Brandon (his name) and the other  showing Stockport where Edgeley is a suburb. I think he will get a kick out of that!   I found a free , cycle-related verse on the internet and a tongue-in-cheek definition of a 'Cyclopath'.   The only bit of stamping are the words Adventure and Strava which I cut out into tiles,  diamond-glazed to make the words pop, and affixed these around the oval.   I was quite pleased with the result and think he will like it." He will be delighted I am sure, Dot. Thank you for sending it in.

Good afternoon everyone I hope you are all safe & well. I thought that today I had better start showing some of the member showcase photos I have received over the last weeks. So the first one, is from Dot of Mold II club who sent a couple of photos of a card she had recently made.  I say recent - it was back in May Dot didn't actual leave any comment about the card. What she did tell me was that she was busy knitting cupcakes & would send a photo when she had finished. So! watch this space. More member showcase photos to come. 'Bye for now.

............ to while away the time. Today I have photos from Dot of Mold II group showing what she has been doing. She has been making doll's clothes; Here is what Dot said in her email; "I've not had a chance to do much in my craft room as I'm still sewing scrub bags  f or the NHS nurses. So far I've made 83 bags!   I'm having next week off from sewing as I need to clean the house  up as it's been neglected of late.  I have made a few little doll clothes too for my 7yr old granddaughter  in the hope that it will detract her from playing on her tablet (see attached).   As I don't see her too often I will pop these in the post and get her mum to video her  reactions for me when she opens her parcel.  I just wish I could deliver them in person.   Hopefully this lockdown will end soon and we can all get our lives back. I'm so looking forward to seeing all the craft group ladies onc...

.... to while away the time. Good afternoon everyone.  Something a little different today, but very topical, - this is from Dot of Mold II group; this is what Dot had to say -  "As everyone seems to be doing kind, caring deeds for their community I decided to pull out my sewing machine and make some clothes bags for our NHS nurses to carry their infected uniforms to and fro.  Their uniforms are popped into the bags and the whole lot is then put into their washing machines and laundered.  I've managed to make 23 so far and Ceri is also making some too, along with my friend, Lynne.  Between the three of us we should get approx 50." Well done Dot, Ceri & Lynne. That's me for today - 'Bye.

.... to while away the time. Hi everyone. Today I have some photos of cards made by Dot of Mold II group.  Whenever Dot sends me these sort of photos she always explains about them.  So at the end of the photos I will copy her email comments. Card 01 front Card 01  inside "Hi Gloria, here's another card I have made this week.  This one is for my grandson who will be 10 next week.   I drew a smaller version of a rocket template and raised it up on sticky pads  and coloured in a fire stream. On the inside of the card I typed up some space facts  and found a picture of a moon landing and put a Happy Birthday Elliot  under the pole.   I was really pleased with this one as I was having brain fog wondering what to make for him. Take care, Dot x" ............................................ Card 02 "Hi, here's one of my latest cards for my son, Brandon, who is a keen cyclist...

Good morning everyone & what a lovely sunny day.  I suspect it may be quite cold out there today as well. So wrap up warm when you go out. Today I have another member showcase for you & this time it is from Dot - a member of Mold II club. Here is her card; Isn't it cute? This is the message Dot sent with the photo -  "I've been busy trying to finish off my cards and didn't have any idea what to do for my friend  Hazel who is a crafter herself. I started a star shaped card then changed my mind as the  picture was too big and made the card too top heavy.  She has just got herself a little cockapoo puppy so I decided to use a basket topper   taken from an old Christmas card.  I cuttlebugged a host of poinsettias, added little gemstones and put a photo of  her dog behind the basket making it look like the puppy is sitting in the basket.  I was going to add a Santa hat to the dog or a tiny bow but n...

Hello everyone I am back today with another member showcase.  I am sorry there has been another gap between posts but although I seem to be coming out of this infection with my other health problem it has left me very washed out. So I do not have much energy & am very tired.  So I grab the moments when I am a little more alert to pop in & have a chat. The member showcase today is another one from Dot of Mold II club.  It is in fact her second dog card that she was asked to make.  Here are the photo Dot sent & what she had to say about them in her email; "Hi Gloria, Here is the second dog card.  I made a pizza styled box and covered it in gingham card stock then affixed a picture of her  dog along with a few embellishments to the outside.  On the inside cover I attached a note from Cesar Milan about dogs and food intolerance's.  I made up 6 different coloured cards and typed up 6 of his recipes and put a do...

Good afternoon everyone. I hope you are all keeping well. This afternoon I have a member showcase for you & it is from Dot of Mold II club. She told me a few days ago  that she had been asked to make some "dog" cards. Today I have the first one of them to show you. Here is what she said in the email  that the photo came with. "Here is the first dog card.  As all my dog stamps were packed away I've had to resort to die cutting.  The kennel I drew out myself along with the dog bowl, ball and dog bone  and I drew and then cut out the clouds and then glued some cotton wool to them.  I was pleased with the result." You should be pleased Dot it is absolutely delightful. Thank you for sending it in to me. I have some photos of the other dog card Dot made & will put that hear as well over next couple of days. Have a good day. That's me for today.  'Bye.

Good afternoon everyone. Just recently I had an email from Dot of Mold II club saying how much she enjoyed making the flowerpot card that we did just before Christmas.  During the evening there was some discussion about a stand so that it stood up & Dot has been working on the idea. In the email she sent a word document with directions to make a stand.  I have copied it for you here. I have popped back in to edit this post as the diagram got distorted when I copied & pasted it.  I have adjusted it to be a little more accurate. To make a stand for the flowerpot card: Cut a strip of 250 gsm card 7” long by 2 ½” wide. Score at:     ¾” ( M ),   4 ¾” ( M ),   5 ¾” ( V )   and 6 ¾”   ( M ) M= Mountain Fold V = Valley Fold With right side facing put strip of strong, wide DSST   tape to top and the bottom folds only. Turn under the top fold and affix to the centre top of the back of the pot. Fold a...

Good afternoon everyone This afternoon I have the second member showcase to show you & this time it is from Dot of Mold II club. In her email Dot said;  "I think I am ready to get back to routine now ...( following Christmas she means ).    I've been in the craft room today making a card for my friend's husband and thought you might like to see it.  It's made up from three separate stamps and I am extremely pleased with it." It is really lovely Dot & must have taken you ages. I am sure he loved receiving it. I am hoping to have a couple of hours in my craft room today, as well, although today is Bob's birthday & we will be going out this evening for a meal to celebrate, so I must make sure I keep an eye on the time. Another weekend is here again - they do come round fairly quickly when there have been holidays at the beginning of the week, don't they.  I suppose we will all really be back to normal now. Looking fo...

Good morning everyone. This morning I have another member showcase for you to see.  This time it is from Dot of Mold II club.  After seeing the needlework photo I blogged that was sent in by Joanna, Dot decided to send a photo of something she has been making. Her email said; "I, too, like to sew and I've made 6 of these dress dust covers for gifts this year.   They are nice and easy to make and by choosing the right fabric can   make them look expensive." It looks lovely Dot I am sure the people they are for will love them. Thank you for sending the photo to me. Enjoy your weekend everyone. 'Bye for now.

Good morning everyone Yesterday I had an email from Dot of Mold II club with some photos of a Christmas card she has made that she thought we would like to see. It's a tee-pee card & in the email Dot said ------ "I thought you might like to see the teepee card I've made for my friend.  As she is a crafter I have to come up with something different each year.  I think I might add a few little stars to the night sky." It is absolutely delightful Dot, I am sure your friend will love it.  There is a lot of work gone into it as well. That is my pop in for today ladies. 'Bye for now.

Good evening ladies Tonight I have a photo of an Anniversary card made by Dot of Mold II club. In her email with the photo Dot said ------------------- "The die is one of Chloe's and I passed it through the Cuttlebug 3 times. The first one I glued straight onto the card and the other 2 were cut into thus making individual flowers which were glued on at their centre point and a pearl added. Sentiments were hand written and affixed, along with  bow.  I hope you like it." I do indeed Dot - it is beautiful & I am sure it will be very much appreciated. Thank you for sending it in. I have just got back home from the CSNW meeting this evening.  So hope to have some photos for you soon, along with the ones from their September meeting.  Elvena sent those to me via Whatsapp on my mobile, but for some reason I didn't receive them.  Looking into that tomorrow to see what went wrong my end, if anything. That's all for today.  'Bye for n...

Image
Phew that's a long title, isn't it. What it means is that I have for you an extra set of photos from the Mold II project for October which was shown in part 1.  Dot of Mold II club has sent me photos of the concertina book she completed from the project Rita showed them. As in other books we have learnt to make during the year - Dot has also added extra smaller pages & pockets; Dot, it is beautiful. I think you said it was a present for someone. They will be absolutely delighted to receive it. As we are having our grandson over at Christmas I will be taking lots of photos, then after Christmas will make this as a memory book for our first Christmas all together. Oops - just noticed I did not say - Good morning.  So - good morning everyone I hope you are all well. 'Bye for now.

Good afternoon everyone. Today I have a member showcase for you & it is from Mold II club member - Dot. I have had an email from Dot saying how much she enjoyed making the Double Slider card, so much so that she has made another one.  Also she did some searching on You Tube & found a video showing the card - slightly different shape - but the lady had created a stand for the card.  I had a quick look at the video & I will go back & watch it properly & work out the size for our card (Dot has also given me some measurements) & I will put the information on the blog. Here are the photos of Dot's card; What a lovely bright fun card & it is for someone who is going to be 80. I'm sure they will love it. This photo shows how Dot has put the message on the back........ ....... & here is a view of the card where you can just see the stand at the back. This card that Dot has made is a different size to the one we made a...

Good afternoon Here I am again with another member showcase & this time it is Dot from Mold II club. Dot thought I might like to show her cards on the blog & also apologised that they are not stamped cards. Whilst that is always great to see I also like to show any style of card you have made, & it doesn't have to be one that has been featured in a magazine, or on TV (if you are that lucky), but just cards you are proud of. Dots cards were all special occasion cards; A beautiful card Dot I have to say that I am really smitten with white on white - it always looks so elegant, crisp & fresh. On this one of Dot's cards there is just a little colour with the 2 love birds. Another beautiful card Dot - I am sure that whoever you sent them to must have been delighted. Thank you for sending them to me. It is great to share. Now Dot actually sent me 3 cards but I have only shown you 2 of them today, as the 3rd one is in the style of a car...
