... to while away the time. I am going to blog some photos that I have received from club members showing what they have been doing / making during the current isolation time.  They will be about various project types. So the first one is from Janet of Mold club. Janet had a birthday back in January & one of her friends - Joanna who is also a member of Mold club - gave her a hand made journal for her birthday. First here is a photo of the beautiful journal & here are a few of pages already worked by Janet Beautiful Journal Joanna - showing your beautiful sewing skills. Along with stunning pages you have created Janet. I feel an evening project coming once we are all together again. 😊 If have some other photos I have been sent & this "what have you been doing ...." post will become a regular post. So come on ladies where are those photos - doesn't matter about the subject or craft style.  I look forward to receiving...

Good afternoon everyone I do hope you are all having a great weekend. Recently Joanna & Janet of Mold club went away for a weekend workshop.  Part of the workshop was with Sweet Poppy stencils & another with Eileen Godwin of Eileens Crafty Zone. At the last Mold meeting (November) Joanna & Janet took along the results of their work & Joanna has sent me loads of photos.  I will be putting them here gradually over the next few days. Here are 4 of the items made by Janet, & as I would find it difficult to say anything about them - after the photos, I have used the text from Joanna's email. Here is Joanna's email "These are a few of the ones Janet made over the weekend - I didn't shoot  all of them as some are very similar to the ones I did :) The black one is with paste and micro beads; the other is paste over  which, once dry, the stencil is replaced and inks added for colour. The two completed cards are what we did...

member showcase - number 2

Hi I am back as promised. This member showcase is more correctly a late project entry - but I thought it would be good to make it a showcase. The photos of the card are from Janet of Mold club & they are of the project card from the June meeting a couple of weeks ago.  The reason for showcasing it?  Janet wasn't at that meeting as she was on holiday - SOOO - did she make it before her holiday (had a private lesson with Joanna) -  or as soon as she got back.? 😊    😊 Seriously - it is a great card -- This is the view of the outside - love the combination of the brown card & the copper sequin waste. This is the view on the inside. Thank you for sending it in Janet - I love it.  Must pull my finger out & get around to making one. That's me for today everyone. Have a nice evening. 'Bye for now.

Birthday Greetings

Hello ladies While I was going through various photos on my computer  - the ones that I keep that are relative to the blog - or items of interest, & I found a member showcase that I had not yet blogged. Do you remember back in June I went to a workshop where I created an MDF mirror that had jigsaw pieces around it?  I blogged about HERE One of the Mold meetings following that - Janet a member of the group, brought in her mirror that she also had made using the same MDF base.  Here it is; Isn't it stunning/ I didn't put too much on mine at the workshop, but it is sitting on a shelf waiting for me to add more to it to make it more interesting.  Another one of those "to do" jobs to add to my ever growing list. It is beautiful Janet & thank you for showing it to us.  Sorry it took me so long to put it on the blog. 'Bye for now. .

2015 project - mold - part 6

Image
Good morning everyone. This morning I have another set of photos of the 2015 project & these were created by Janet of Mold club; Janet's theme was pockets - so by the side of each tag I have placed the item that was in the pocket. The poppy was glued into the pocket on this one. Lovely set of tags Janet - &  loved the little items in the pockets.

Hi - I am back with another member showcase for you. This time it is from Janet of Mold club who decided to do things with her Brusho pieces she had created at the February meeting; Here they are................. Isn't it nice to see the pieces mounted onto complimentary card These two have very interesting designs on & I love that sentiment on the right hand one. Two more with images added. Now! did you notice the great little design feature Janet has added? No! Well take another look - it appears in the photo above this one as well. I really like the effect with this Indigo Blu image.  Lovely. The design feature?  Well Janet added a group of fine light lines around the image & I am showing one of them again here & I have enlarged it a little to make it easier it see.  It was something that Janet had seen done & she thought she would try it.  I think it looks great Janet & I am definitely going to try it. ...

Good morning Today I have the promised showcase of the samples that Janet made for the Mold club October meeting First the Etching samples; They all look different - the 2 black & white ones look different just by one being etched lighter than the other. Then the last one - adding colour changes it again. Now the Pointillism samples; I think these photos speak for themselves - don't you?
