Good afternoon everyone Today I am taking a break from catching up with showing you my recently made cards & bringing you a member news item. This has come from Joanna of Mold club who sent it to me after I got back from holiday to use if I was short of things to show.  Evidently she had this & a couple of other items in a document to send me & had only just remembered to do so. Here is what she said in the email she sent; " I shall tell you here about the Make with Cake Janet and I attended: I won an invite for myself and a friend to attend a 'Make with Cake' in Wrexham. I was hoping it would be at the Sizzix headquarters but instead it was held at a hotel (with the tightest, smallest car park you've ever seen!!!).  There were about 30 people there from as far away as London, guess we were the lucky ones only travelling a few miles. We started the afternoon using the Big Shot to cut out letters and flowers to decorate a cushion cover (all materi...

Yesterday I had an email from Joanna of Mold club she had found out via Facebook that she had won a runners up prize - this was her message; "Cowling and Wilcox: The winning number for our Winsor & Newton Watercolour Stick giveaway is 4! Congratulations Lynne Gibbins! Well done also to Runner Up, Joanna MacKintosh, who will receive a goody bag from us. Thank you to everyone who entered, keep an eye out for more freebies soon! :) Today, my prize arrived from Woodware (the Dreamweaver stencil prize) and I picked the Picasso tool - should be very useful:" The motto for competitions is - you have to be in it to win it.  This is so true, & as I have said before I think - some of the things Joanna has won has been down to merely putting a comment on a website. Then..................... This morning I had another email from her which was headed - "I did it again!" - here's the email; "Just seen on FaceBook: Affixit Craft Wow...what a fantastic r...

Good morning everyone - I am sorry that I haven't been here for a couple of days, but this medication is just knocking me for six.  As I said a couple of days ago - I can drop off just like that. Anyway - I hope all of you are keeping well. Today I have some member new for you.  At the June meeting of Mold club we made the little fold flat box card. Amongst those made was this one - & under it I wrote - " Aren't those faces lovely - I believe there is going to be a castle on the back of this one. The faces are princesses & I believe it is for a little princess." Joanna, who made this card, sent me photos of the finished card & here they are; I couldn't get this one any lighter - but it shows the castle nice & clearly. That's clearer but the view of the castle isn't as good. I was right it was for a little princess &  here is the little princess herself Isn't that just adorable. I h...

The first piece of news is from Joanna of Mold club - who has won a prize. This time it was by answering some question & finding something on the blog.  Here is the link so that you can see how she got on. http://scrappaperscissors.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/easter-egg-hunt-answers.html Do have a go at these little competitions when you see them on blogs - it is usually something quite simple, like just writing a comment about the days blog - or a product - or like Joanna a quiz style questionnaire. Back again in just a moment.

Hi everyone Do you remember that post about the little flowers from the Mold II club night & how we all wanted to rush off & buy the dies. Well I ordered mine that night & they arrived this morning - but I have been so busy I haven't had a chance to play yet.  But Betty also received hers & although she told me she was busy she managed to have a play & sent me photos.  So it is only fair that I a show them here. Betty - they are beautiful & I can't wait to try them. Sorry! I couldn't get this one any clearer - but aren't they great? Much clearer photo - Betty - they are gorgeous. I need to play!!!!! I will be back later with a little more info from the Mold II meeting. 'Bye for now.

Well done Betty - am I correct that you won a prize too? The other piece of member news is a photograph of Liz at last night's Mold II meeting showing her with her birthday flowers. Hi - it's me back again with the second piece of member news. This time it is from Betty of Mold II club who has sent me a photo of a card made with some new purchases. Betty said she had only ordered them the day before she received them - that is pretty good service.   She has made the card for some friends who are moving out to France to live. A great card Betty - keep up the good work. Don't forget ladies - share your work - other than the projects or Show & Tell photos that I put here.

Good afternoon everyone - what a dismal day.  It has just finished absolutely throwing the rain down here & I have to go out in it tonight. I had an email from Joanna of Mold club a couple of days ago - she had won a prize for an anniversary card challenge she made for an Internet group she belongs to. This is the card & below is her prize. The stamps are Michael Strong - & his blog is  http://www.blog.strongstamps.com/  why nnot go take a look he sells some great stamps. The card below was made for the people whose anniversary it was who were going on a cruise & here is the card she made. I am sure I read the email correctly & that the prize was for the card with the owls.  But if I am wrong I am sure Joanna will leave a comment accordingly. Well done Joanna.

Hi I am here tonight with news of a Mold II member having her work published yet again. Yes - it is Annette & she has a card featured in the latest issue of "Papercraft Essentials" - & here is her card; This was one of a set of stamps that were free on the magazine a couple of issues back - I thought they were great. I am sure that one of the word stamps said "Does my bum look big in this?".  As I haven't yet found the box with that set in I cannot be sure.  I am sure Annette will let me know. Well done Annette - keep up the good work.

A little bit of news from Mold II member Betty - one of her cards has been published in Issue 115 of Quick Cards magazine. Betty is also known as Liz, as you will see from the photo - but they got a lot wrong - here is the card Betty's - or Liz's - surname is Langdon & she usually appears in magazines as being from Flintshire.  Good job she recognised her own card. Well done Betty - keep up the good work!

I am back again this time with the second of 2 photos of members work featured in a magazine. This one is by Betty, also from Mold II - & again featured in this months issue of PaperCraft Essentials - Issue 93, & using the free embossing folder & co'ordinations card in issue 91. Here is Betty's card; Well done Betty. The funny thing was that at the Mold II club meeting last Tuesday I happened to comment that they had not had any of their cards featured for a little while.  Then the magazine arrived on Saturday & there they were. May be back again later.
